MY STORY

I’m a successful Financial strategist “CFO” and “CPA”

With 25 years of experience helping businesses create Financial Models to drive extremely profitable business, so they never have to worry about finance again!!

I have taken everything I have known as a hands-on controller, CFO, and CPA and channeled it into a comprehensive step-by-step program that teaches you from a high-level owner, to understand all the necessary critical numbers to run a successful small business.

With an intense passion for applying my expertise in fueling the growth of small businesses, my goal is to help them optimize profits and grasp a thorough understanding of their financial metrics

I have encountered many small to mid-sized businesses, without the tools to grasp the sources of their profits or losses fully. Owners were often relying solely on their team to manage their jobs, hoping that was enough.

They had very basic income statements, they needed help to do a deep dive into why they were making or losing money!

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

In 1992, I earned my professional designation as a Certified Management Accountant, CMA through the Society of Management Accountants.

While articling at a law firm in Hamilton.

Then, in 2013, I obtained my Chartered Professional Accountant, CPA.

Took many courses in financial modeling with the CPA association.

While pursuing my CPA certification through night school, I apprenticed with a law firm in Hamilton for five years.

EXPERIENCE

I held various positions in corporate accounting and finance with Naylor Group, progressing from Controller to Vice President of Finance, and eventually to CFO.

In 2016, I went out independently and started Lowes CFO on Demand.

I was extremely passionate, and continuously sought areas for improvement, believing that with the right data, managers could make informed decisions in all aspects of the business. Ultimately becoming more profitable with properly designed reports.

My efforts were met with considerable success. I introduced numerous tools that enabled our service business to evaluate profitability precisely.

Managers found this information invaluable.

Ultimately, these initiatives contributed to the significant profitability of a business, demonstrating the power of informed decision-making supported by comprehensive financial analysis.

I grew up in Toronto, I currently live in Burlington. I love long walks with my dog Elwood. I am an avid learner.

I have 3 great kids.
